“An introduction to the CSEFEL Top of the Pyramid Skills: What goes into an early childhood positive behavior support plan?”
This two and a half-hour presentation will offer an introduction to the elements of the early childhood positive behavior support plan developed through the Center on the Social Emotional Foundations of Early Learning (CSEFEL) Pyramid Model approach. Through discussion and activities, participants will have
• a brief overview to the CSEFEL Pyramid approach, promoting social emotional development and the prevention of challenging behavior;
• an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of challenging behavior in young children;
• an opportunity to explore what is meant by “Top of the Pyramid Skills” in the development of early childhood positive behavior support plan;
• an opportunity to review some materials available through the CSEFEL website regarding the importance of including parents in positive behavior support.
Five (5) sessions will be held throughout the state at a location near you!
Presentation begins at 9:30 for all sessions.
